Vetiver, also known as Usira or Khus, is a perennial, aromatic, tussock grass extensively prized for its therapeutic benefits and fragrant essential oil. These possess powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and skin rejuvenating properties. Vetiver is a grass its name is derived from Tamil name “Vettiver “which grows in a hot, sub-tropical climate up to 1.5m. This amazing species is best used for burning sensation.

How to Use ?
For Skin : To prepare your DIY vetiver face mist, soak 2 tablespoons of vetiver root powder in 1-2 cups of hot water for a couple of hours. Strain the water and add 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel to it. Mix well and store it in a spray bottle. Carry it with you and mist your face whenever it feels dry.
For Hair : Fill filtered water in a medium-sized bowl. You can also use a clay pot to enhance its cooling effect. Soak a handful of vetiver roots, and let it sit for two to three hours. Add a slice or two of lemon in the vetiver-infused water. Strain the water and use it for a final rinse after every wash.
